All that is left is to attach the sleeve lining to the garment, stitch down the neckline and attach the lining to the zipper!  WOO!!

It will be mailed out to the bride first thing next week so she can get it hemmed and make sure everything fits the way she wants it too.

Hooray for Progress!

This was the beginning of my week, finally cutting into fabric for my sister in law to be's wedding dress.  I made a mess and was sore for about 3 days after from all the crouching on the floor, (I'll be getting a table when I have space for one).  I managed to get the gray fabric, lining and orange fabric all cut out a well as the interfacing in one afternoon.  Then work took over for the rest of the week.

So today I've surged all the edges, (even when the surger tried to come untreaded 4 times), half pinned the lining, fully pinned the sleeves and interfaced all the outer peices!  Hooray for progress!

Baring any unforeseen issues (like power failures)  this dress should be pretty much sewn together by tomorrow night!  WOO!

Boy, am I glad I have the patience to wait forever!

 After a scare where she was 1/2 hour late (I was starting to think she got lost or hurt on her way from Moncton, or that somehow I'd missed her!) I finally met my model  for the Red Dress campaign yesterday!

She loves Halloween and dressing up and has given me  carte blanche  on the design (Which is fun but scary, so many possibilities!)  This should be fun!

Now to start designing!


I also got some advice on how to fix my issue with the sleeve on my sister-in-law-to-be's wedding dress (it was too tight!)  from my instructors at the school and can get back in gear with that as well!

Pro Tip: NEVER ever ever draft or try to sew when you have the flu.  It just....does not work and leads to ill-fitting disasters!
